I wanted to mention real quick– I’m a nurse-midwife. You might be thinking…yeah, I got that, Christina. But there are different types of midwives. There are Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) and Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs).

You might want to do some quick research on the differences. I’m not one to throw any profession under the bus (even OBGYNs) because there are good and bad apples in all the categories of birth professionals, and I’m proud to say I’ve had two of my own personal deliveries attended by CNMs and two by CPMs.
