I cannot say enough wonderful things about my homebirth experience with Rockwall Birth! I give so much credit to Christina! I originally met Christina when I was 9wks pregnant with my first child. I had severe nausea and vomiting and desperately needed fluids. A friend sent me her info, I called Christina, and she got me an IV within two hours. After meeting her - my first experience with a midwife - I was convinced that this was the kind of care I wanted in pregnancy, rather than the OB I had planned to use. We had conflicts with doing a homebirth at the time, so ended up choosing a birth center instead of hospital for that birth. But I knew that whenever I had another baby, I would be booking with Christina asap.

When I found out I was pregnant with our second baby, I immediately texted Christina :) And after having had a traumatic experience with my first birth, I was beyond overjoyed to be able to finally work with her for our second one. Christina inspires trust from the moment you meet her. She is so so genuine. She cares for you like a dear friend and even family. Throughout this second pregnancy, we met with the severe nausea again, high preterm labor risk, and a significant amount of trauma from my first birth. She walked with me through all of it. Getting me IVs every few days, answering my many texts, and figuring out the best course of action for my unique situation. I chose Christina because I completely trust her, and I appreciate that she is a Christian as well. Having your midwife cry with you, hug you, and pray with you when you receive hard news, is a gift.

At the actual birth of my daughter, I had to work through the old trauma from a severe tear with my first. Christina cried right there with me, hugged me, and didn't rush me at all. While she repaired the minor tear from this birth, she cared for me in a way that allowed me to work through those emotions without making me feel guilty or that I "should be over that by now." Instead, she took it slow and sympathetically, singing along to my birth playlist and validating how I felt, while also telling me that I was such a good mom to my little girl. I don't think I'll ever forget hearing her voice while looking at my little baby through my tears. After it was all over, she made sure I felt secure and loved before she left. I felt such peace and healing after going through this birth with her. To be able to walk away from this second birth without any trauma is something I didn't think I was possible. I honestly cannot say enough good things about my experience with Christina. She was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. She didn’t just help me have my baby—she taught me, educated me about my body, answered all my questions, and made me feel so confident and prepared throughout the entire process.

During my birth, I did have one minor complication, but even in that moment, I never felt scared or like I was in danger. She and her team handled everything so calmly and professionally. You could truly tell that everyone knew exactly what they were doing, and that gave me so much peace of mind. I always felt safe, heard, and taken care of.

One of the things I appreciated most was how much I learned throughout this pregnancy and birth. She has so much knowledge and experience, and with her background as a registered nurse and all of her additional qualifications, you can really see how much she brings to her care. She takes the time to explain things and teach you instead of simply telling you what is happening. I feel like I walked away from this experience understanding my body and birth so much more than I ever have before (and this is my 3rd baby).

My daughter just turned 1 and is as healthy as can be, and I am so incredibly grateful. I feel truly blessed that I had Christina and her team there to guide me through such an important and unforgettable experience. This was the birth of my dreams.

I absolutely love her and cannot recommend her enough. If you are looking for a midwife who will not only help you bring your baby into the world, but will educate you, empower you, listen to you, and truly be there for you every step of the way—she is the one. You will learn so much from her, and you will feel cared for, supported, and confident throughout your experience.

I’m a little late to writing this review since I had my baby in December 2025, but I’ve been meaning to share how amazing my experience with Christina Buchanan was!

My first birth was in a hospital, and I remember feeling like I didn’t really have much say in the decisions being made. Having Christina as my midwife was such a completely different experience. She really believes in moms making their own choices, while still giving you honest, knowledgeable advice and making sure you feel confident in those choices. I always felt heard, respected, and supported.

I gave birth in my living room, and the whole experience was honestly so empowering. Christina’s bedside manner is incredible, and I felt so comfortable and safe with her there.

One thing that still amazes me is that within two hours of giving birth, my house was completely spotless. You honestly would have had no idea a baby had just been born in my living room!  She was so respectful of my home and just took care of everything.

After having both a hospital birth and a home birth, I can confidently say I would choose a home birth with Christina again in a heartbeat. She made the entire experience so positive and empowering, and I’m so thankful I found her.

She gave me the best, best, BEST VBAC birth experience I could have ever hoped for. From the very beginning she made me feel confident in my ability to have the birth I wanted. Throughout labor, she was calm, encouraging, and incredibly knowledgeable. Whenever I needed her, she was always available and never made me feel like I was bothering her. She always took the time to answer my questions and concerns. Her encouragement gave me so much confidence throughout my pregnancy and labor. I am beyond grateful that she was there for my VBAC journey. She made such a beautiful experience even more special. I truly could not have asked for a better midwife!

Christina and her team are so amazing words can’t express how grateful I am that she was able to be my midwife … again!

I had my first son (who is now almost 9!) with Christina as my midwife when she worked at a birth center and knew once I got pregnant again I wanted her!

I was so devastated to realize the birth center was no longer there so I searched the internet to find Christina praying left and right that I’d find her and if I did , that she’d have a spot for me!

Not only did she agree to be my midwife but she pushed her family vacation a couple weeks to do so

From that moment on , Christina and her team were just as exceptional!

If I had questions, they had answers!
When I’d be worried, they’d be comforting!
If I needed time to think, she gave it!
When I was unsure, she was there with the knowledge and wisdom to help me!

Through each appointment , each phone call and text , through the labor Christina was there for me with reassurance, comfort, the knowledge behind each decision that needed to be made, through labor she was right there reminding me why I chose the midwife route!

I definitely don’t plan on getting pregnant again, but if I do, I certainly know who to call!

This second pregnancy was completely different than my first and she truly went the extra mile and for that I will always be grateful and will search the ends of the internet to find her again!

Christina is the best midwife in the area! We switch 6 months in from a hospital birth to a home birth and we had many many recommendations to check out Christina. We met with her and instantly felt at ease with the big change and felt like we were told everything that we needed to know without any sugar coating it. The birth itself was intense but exactly how I’d want my birth to go. Most of the time it was my husband and I going through every contraction with the team being right there checking on my baby and I. I felt very safe with Christina and her team she brought. I cannot say enough good things about Christian. This was my 6th birth but first home birth. I was a little nervous about it all and did alot of research to find the right midwife. Christian checked all the boxes and from the first visit I knew she was the perfect fit for us. She was so caring towards me and my children. She has an answer for everything.
